Material handling and intralogistics specialist BEUMER Group says its total Corporate Carbon Footprint has fallen by around 26 percent since 2023. The figure is reported in the company’s ESG Report 2025/2026, published on 27 October 2026, which also confirms that its emissions targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Scope 3 dominates the footprint

According to the Beckum-based company, Scope 3 emissions account for more than 99 percent of its footprint and have also declined by around 26 percent since 2023. Scope 3 covers indirect emissions outside the company’s direct control, such as those in the supply chain and from the use of sold products.

SBTi-validated targets for 2030

Against a 2023 base year, BEUMER Group aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42 percent by 2030. For Scope 3, the target is a 51 percent reduction in emissions per million euros of value added by 2030. The company states that these near-term targets have been validated by SBTi.

UN Global Compact and EcoVadis

Further milestones highlighted in the report include membership of the United Nations Global Compact and an EcoVadis Silver Medal, which places the company among the top 10 percent of companies assessed. BEUMER Group has also launched an internal Eco-Design Academy to build skills in sustainable product design.

The company’s ESG strategy, built around the ambition of becoming the partner of choice for sustainable material handling, rests on three focus areas: Pioneering Green Business, Keeping People Engaged and Leading with Integrity. Prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the report covers strategy, progress and targets, and the company acknowledges that further progress is needed in some areas. CEO Rudolf Hausladen stressed in the announcement that, for BEUMER Group, sustainability is closely linked to long-term business success.
