How a Bakery Increased Brand Awareness Through High Quality Stand Up Pouches

A food processing customer, specifically a bakery, from Vaughan, Ontario was launching a new product and was looking for specific stand-up pouches that were able to meet their quality branding standards and their launch timeline. After receiving little communication from their previous pouch supplier, they reached out to us to fulfill their needs prior to the product launch.

As per our standard, we toured the facility to have a deeper understanding of the customer’s wants and needs for this new product and it’s launch. After receiving samples of the bags they were previously using, we took those samples to our vendor, Vin Plastics. Our vendor guaranteed they could beat the quality while also beating the lead time by months – which was a success!

Alongside this solution, we were able to set the customer up with competitive pricing as well as a stocking agreement where we were able to keep inventory on our floor so they can pull as needed.

Challenge

Our customer was launching a new branded product and needed stand up pouches for product. Our customer also needed these stand-up pouches within 7 weeks as they were launching at a food show in California, USA. After receiving little communication from their previous pouch supplier, they reached out to us to fulfill their needs prior to the product launch.

Process

Crawford’s Packaging Specialists scheduled a site visit to have a deeper understanding of the customer’s wants and needs. Our Packaging Specialists gathered samples of what they were previously getting along with pricing and took this information to our vendor, Vin Plastics.

The customer also had the opportunity to tour the vendor’s facility they could see the whole process from start to finish. We received their required volumes and quoted accordingly to keep them supplied for 6 months – we were able to keep inventory on our floor so they can pull as needed.
